Acupuncture
How Acupuncture can help you and what to expect from a treatment:
Traditional Chinese Medicine can help with almost any ailment or imbalance in the body, from aches and pains, hormonal and emotional imbalances, digestive issues and more. It is a safe, effective and drug free option that can enhance your health and wellness. Upon your first visit the TCM doctor will take the time to go through a complete health assessment with you, asking you many questions that may not seem related to your chief concern but helps the doctor paint a picture of your overall health and determines a treatment plan.
The treatment itself will include inserting filiform acupuncture needles into specific points on your body to illicit a pain relieving effect or rebalancing of the body. These needles will remain inserted from 15 to 25 minutes and may be followed up with cupping, where glass or plastic cups are placed on the body with suction to improve blood flow, increase mobility and reduce pain. Other modalities such as guasha, tuina and electrical stimulation may also be incorporated into the treatment as required.
